MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND EITHER:

      (a)  One year of experience as a lineman or electric utility worker on high voltage electric power distribution systems; OR

      (b)  Two years of such experience as an electric utility helper; OR

      (c)  Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined

           in (a) and (b) above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

      (a)  Eligibility for a New York State class III license.  Possession required for permanent appointment.
